Her Wave 2022

 

 

 

In 2022 Bar Reef Board Riders secured grant funding through the "Her Wave" program. This was proudly sponsored by NSW Goverment, Surfing NSW, Roxy and Surf Dive and Ski.

The aim of the program was to engage with local female surfers to;

 

- Build friendships in / out of the water

- Develop surf awareness and confidence in the water

- Surf with their peers

- Most of all have fun 

 

We conducted a 6-week program for our female members which included, yoga, surf skate sessions and surf coaching by local female coach / competitor "Phillipa Anderson". This initiative allowed our members to gain further skills and also build new friendships with the local surf scene.
